Man In The Moon - Angelica

You raised a hand to meet the ink black sky
caught a galaxy of stars - and placed them
gently into my waiting outstretched arms
then watched them climb up on a smile
to light downcast sad eyes and guide
abandoned day dreams to nudge possibility.

You took a slice from the full moon and
laid me in it's gracious curve, an alabaster
cradle- soft pillows of exquisite imaginings.
I dreamt of a world where love is truly there,
where people really care-Then the dawn broke
rose tinted in azure sky. I heard you sigh.
