Walk with me - Diane Scantlebury
Walk with me
By the sea
We’ll collect shells
On the beach
Walk with me
Let the salt air
And the tang of seaweed
Assault our lungs
Walk with me
Crush my hand in yours
As we scramble
Over the sea wall
Walk with me
Let’s sit and kiss
In the orange boat
Tethered to the shore
Walk with me
Let’s watch the sun’s fiery glow
Sink slowly over Lihou
Walk with me
But you are gone
And I walk the sand alone
Now all I can find are stones
