If I could, I’d paint a masterpiece
Filled with colours of a lovely hue,
For I lived my life in monochrome
Until the day that I first met you.
No blacks, no greys, nor a somber tone
Would ever mar this picture of bliss;
I never thought I could meet someone
And know happy contentment like this!
If I was a skillful musician
I’d write a beautiful symphony,
With notes like a celestial choir
That ring in heavenly harmony,
So that in the ages long after
Our time on Earth is finally through
All who heard this wonderful music
Would know of the love I have for you.
