Guernsey Poets: Leylandii

I love Leylandii. How they grow,
eclipse the sun, block out the light.
I planted twenty in a row:
they are a truly awesome sight.
The neighbours mutter, It’s not fair.
I shrug my shoulders, C’est la guerre!
